Ramses is a software designed to calculate stress on transmission pipelines. The software contains three units: (1) ABAISS (2) ERIC and (3) DIMDALE. ABAISS determines the profile of an excavation and the number of necessary stages to lower a live pipe. ERIC calculates the stress on a pipe when a large additional weight, such as a dirt pad, is to be placed above, for example when building a highway. DIMDALE determines if it is necessary to put a protection slab to protect the pipe when a point load is applied to the ground above the pipe, especially moving a load.
